Dentist in Los Algodones, Baja California

Not me! Annie has gone out-of-town, out-of-state, and out-of-country to take care of a few things in her mouth. She was researching Nogales, Sonora (thank you for your suggestions), then realized she would feel better in Los Algodones.

After she left me (what year was that? Yesterday?!?) the sky put on a show to distract me. Thanks, Sky.

There were three separate rainbows that day, and two of them were doubles. They don't call this joint the Good Luck Duck for no reason, you know.

Also here to distract me: dogs.

Whitey

Cookie

Whitey and Cookie

Whitey and Cookie

Whitey and ...HEY! CUT THAT OUT!

This is awkward.

I like having the dogs around outside, especially at night. Every owl, javelina, and cow is a new chance for me to soil myself.

I took the Tracker to the post office yesterday, and before I could walk away, it beat me to it. I threw my Jaime Sommers moves on it and jumped in to stop it before it could crash into a pre-school field trip, two seniors with walkers, a dog in a wheelchair, and a stroller; a little car can't stand up to abuse like that.

Our Arizona is wet, windy, and cold. Tell me about somewhere warm.

Wow! Beautiful rainbow captures! Sorry to hear about Annie's dental issues:-(. As to someplace warm: drive over to pagosa springs and soak! My favorite hot springs in the West:-). Cheers, Maureen (2scamps)

You're projecting, Lucy. Thanks, we hope for good tooth prognosis.

I'll check that out, Maureen. Annie told me to soak my head, but that seems impractical.

Rainbows? But WHAT DOES IT MEAN??? :)

Hahaha! You crack me up!

Hope Annie has good luck at the dentist. :)

Wow, what gorgeous rainbows!

My little yellow Tracker nearly rolled away from me one day too-- I was unhitching it from the motorhome and forgot to put it in gear before doing so. Once released from the Moho, down the driveway it started to roll with me chasing after it and my neighbor laughing his ass off!!! Luckily, I had left the window open, so could reach in an grab the emergency brake. Never have repeated that dumb move again :-)

Not warm in Phoenix, except for the warm fuzzy I got from passing my online CPR class.

Tell you about somewhere warm??? I am sweating in Eugene, OR while I clean out the motorhome from our recent ill-fated and shortened trip. It is totally sunny here with clear blue skies and temps in the mid-high 60s. That's pretty warm from where I'm standing. Sorry, didn't mean to rub it in but you did ask!!

Really cool rainbows. Wishing Annie good luck with her toofers.

Beautiful rainbow photos! I have a hard time capturing those but yours are terrific.

WOW those are super rainbow pictures. The pot of gold is just over there. I hope you were out picking it up while poor Annie was suffering in tooth trauma.

Warm.......we got some today. Actually had to got hunt up my sun screen. 78 degrees at the DeLand Native American Pow Wow in DeLand Florida.

LOL! Good thing your herculean moves saved your runaway Tracker from those damaging bystanders!

I'm impressed that dog knows how to do the Heimlich maneuver. Looks like his quick actions successfully saved the other dog.

Gorgeous rainbows!

Nice rainbow you got there!

Eager to hear about Annie's experience (unless is wasn't good, of course). I'm thinking about doing the same thing next year.

Allison said...

Great photos of the rainbow. Mine was anemic, but what can you do? Love the dog pictures. Hope the dentist works out and all is well. Have you looked at the forecast for Tuesday???? Hot hot hot!

Gaelyn said...

I see how it goes when you and the Tracker are left alone, rainbows and doggy humping.

It's warm here in South Africa and even better is the Hot water baths at Warmwaterberg.

It's rainy and gray here in Spain... haven't seen a rainbow in months. Love your photos... such vibrant colors!

You should have called we could have went to lunch or something.

The dogs are back for a hand out and well the nasty could have been done somewhere else. I tell you no manners there.

How come I didn't see those beautiful rainbows? I kept looking around.

Hot here in the Rio Grande Valley of TX but we miss the AZ desert, even if it is cold! Just a few more weeks....

You don't want to hear about Virgin, Utah, then! We watched it snow in the mountains most of the day. Luckily, we were just a few feet low enough to avoid the snow. But...we are suppose to be at 82 by Thursday!!!

What beautiful rainbow photos! Thanks you for sharing! I love them!

When I need distraction I sit in Starbucks, listen in, & take ironic pleasure in human folly. Bemused delight.

Excellent pictures today, thanks for sharing your stuff!

Pia Kaven said...

Does Whitey still stay with you guys? Or is he just visiting you? I might have missed that part if you had it in a post.
The rainbows are beautiful... hope Annie comes back with a smile.

Roxanne said...

Thanks, George and Suzie!

Mary, that's not bad. Then I realize someone is probably taking ironic pleasure in my ironic pleasure.

Pam! Brrr. It's not cool to be so cold. This morning it's sunny and warm, and my spirits are higher.

Gayle, I'm holding out for a gorgeous Sonoran Spring. I've seen the signs just a few feet lower, so I know it's coming.

Jo, I was thinking about you all the time I was snapping those 'bows. I figured you were out there doing the same thing. There's not much to mess with the horizon out here.

Phioxee, thanks for commenting so I could find your beautiful blog!

Nickie, I saw 0730 once. It was dark then, too. The pot of gold kept moving.

Sharon, I pictured Spain as sunny all the time. Don't we say "Sunny Spain"?

Ooh, Gaelyn, that sounds great. Yeah, leave me alone for a minute and here's what happens.

Allison, I will soak up the heat with wild abandon (and shorts). Rainbows want to be anemic when you take their picture, you just have to show them who's boss. Dogs do what they do Like A Boss.

Kim, I'd say Annie will blog about her experience, but maybe she will, and maybe I will. It's hard to know ahead of time. She's had two appointments so far, and still sounds positive.

HAHA Mike and Terri! That's a highly-skilled rescue dog, apparently.

I DO know you! You heard we were coming to Tucson, didn't you, and so you made a dash for the other side. What's doin'?

Sherry, while I'm here slaving away at keeping the cats out of the refrigerator, your cousin is getting hit on by hot Mexican men. Well, I haven't seen them, but they are, at least, Mexican men.

Thanks, Rick! They are elusive, colorful devils.

Sweating in Oregon, Donna? Now I KNOW you're lying.

Congratulations, Swankie! No, it's not even warm in Phoenix.

HA Lynne! So, you've got a bit of the bionic, too. I can't guarantee I won't do the same dumb thing again. If I could guarantee that, I would have just guaranteed I wouldn't do it the first time, either.

Tee hee! Thanks, Jessica. And, thanks for the good wishes.

Brenda, I think it's some kind of SIGN.

Pia, Whitey spreads himself around. For the price of a meal, he sticks around here overnight, woofing at "stuff." He's not ours to keep - we're just borrowing him now.

Not only are the rainbows beautiful, the photos of them are as well. Nicely done. :)

Contessa said...

Hard to be left at home...alone. The first 2 days are the worst. Great distractions you have:)

Roxanne said...

Thank you, John!

True, Contessa! Another distraction: wine. A thing that's not a distraction: cleaning.

MargieAnne said...

Hope the dental work went well. If you continue to need a distraction maybe this will interest you.

Thought I'd let you know we are heading out to Hawaii in a couple of days. We arrive in Honolulu Thursday morning to be exact. I've set up a separate Blog called Hawaii 2013 which you can find here http://matarangigirl.blogspot.co.nz/ should you want to follow this New Zealand couple abroad. Most of our time in Hawaii will be on Big Island including a few days on a coffee plantation.

Blessings

MargieAnne, you're flaunting the warm, aren't you. But, holy cow! Your header picture is more amazing than I thought Blogger could handle! Yes, I'll be watching.

GORGEOUS rainbows! AS for dentists in Los Algodones I was very happy w/ Dr. Eva Urena. She gets good reviews from everyone I've talked to and did an outstanding job on my crown too. I've got a bunch more recommendations & discussion in my 2-part internet post:
http://wheelingit.wordpress.com/2013/01/18/getting-dental-work-in-mexico-part-ii-our-los-algodones-experience/

I'll be going back yearly to Mexico for my dentistry now. Hope that helps!

Love the rainbow pictures.

Oh....so that was the Heimlich maneuver. Usually dogs do the hein-lick.

The Good Luck Duck said...

Nina, Annie went to another group - she'll have to tell us the name. And, hearing the prices, I can't imagine NOT going to Mexico for dentistry! Thanks for the reference to your experiences. People should check this out!

Hahaha, Karen! Another thing you don't want to see in a restaurant.
