Wow, how very groovy! I'm coming to Tucson early next week for the Tango Festival (decided to stay at the Desert Diamond Casino - six miles away) and then hope to meet up with the Ducks! :-)
Yay! Are you coming in your rig, or staying at the hotel?
Is that supposed to be a Monk-key??? And that other big guy is scary too. I think I'll hide.
I need to head down there before I leave. Going to look at a van tomorrow. I think it will need lots of TLC from the pictures.
I think so, Donna! Don't you love a visual pun? Estée Fodder hides, too. She's a fair-leather friend.Ooh, good luck, Jo! Let us know.
My favorite thing on 4th Ave? Our hair salon! We always set aside some extra time around our haircut appointments so we could eat or explore. :)
A hair salon! I remember those, but just barely. What are doing for your hairs now?
This is my kind of post! 4th Avenue is pretty awesome. Love it all!
When I come to Tucson? I'm driving my rig early next week and staying with a friend at the Holiday Inn airport for three nights and split the $89.00/night so she doesn't have to pay for the whole room. If I had my "druthers," I'd just stay at the casino and drive the six miles every day to the festival. I'm going to stay for awhile in Tucson afterwards.
Looks like fourth ave dances to the beat of a different drummer. Not that you do. No way. ;c)
If you watch me dance, you'll suspect there's no drummer at all.
Love the art! Thanks for sharing.
Judging by that picture I think I would like the Magic Fun store very much.
What are we doing with our hair? Good question! Mine is generally growing like a weed. I trim up my bangs every few weeks myself (badly). I've been purposely growing out the overall length so that's not been a problem. Poor Karin though. She's used to a very short cut that is spiky on top. I can't cut it like she wants though. And it's hard to just randomly find good hairstylists. She got it cut good while we were in Indy a month ago by our old stylist there. But it's already grown out! I think she's going to have to find a simpler cut. This is exactly why I started growing mine out a year and a half ago. I knew it would be a problem to maintain the super short cut I had on the road. I'm also 4 weeks into my 2nd attempt at going no-poo. It's going only slightly better than the first attempt, which I ditched after 6 weeks of super fugly hair. Sigh....
Wow Man Far Out
The monkey is my favorite. :)
You're his favorite, too!
Love the pics.....especially the unique one with the glass.
Brenda, growing your hair out is a good solution. We've been using a RoboCut for 134 years, and that works for us, too.
way kool mosaic.
Neat area! Love the murals. And as for hair, I am in dire need of a cut and dreading the salon. Anyone want to cut my hair for a Mojito?Nina
I thought the post about offering a mojito for a haircut was from the duck and then I wondered, do vegans drink liquor? Do vegans drink liquor?
Nina, I'll cut your hair for a Mojito. I guess I'll need a sharp thing, or maybe two sharp things to make an interesting texture. Hair has texture, right? Don't be nervous - it'll be fine. LG, that's a good question, and the only reason I'm laughing is because of all the liquor I've had. Did you know there is non-vegan liquor? GROSS! But, lots of it (all the many, many kinds I drink) are vegan.
It is great, isn't it, Swankie?
